ESM Purchase limits how large attachments can be and how many you can add to each transaction record. A transaction includes its header and all of its line items.
File size limits

Note: The External Notes total is 15 MB, so in practice no single external attachment can be larger than 15 MB.

File names
File names can be up to 100 characters long.
Good to know
- Deleting frees up space. A deleted attachment no longer counts toward the limits. Deleting a line item removes its attachments too.
- Change orders carry attachments forward. A change order starts with every attachment from the previous version, and those attachments count toward its limits. The limits apply to each version separately.
- Reached a limit? Compress the file, save it in a smaller format such as PDF, or remove attachments you no longer need.
