Tracking Transactions – Order Summary

Purpose: This guide helps ESM Consumer Role™ users search, filter, and export transactions using the Order Summary view.

Before you begin:

1) You are logged into ESM Purchase™ ESM Consumer Role™ (see How to Log Into ESM).

2) You have access to the Order Summary view.

3) You know the search criteria: transaction ID, GL Acct Code, supplier name, or date range.

Steps — Checking Your Recent Orders

1. From the landing page, select the Recent Transactions service card.

2. Select any transaction from the list to open its detail view.

Use Recent Transactions for a quick status check on your most recent submissions. For broader searches across all transactions, use Order Summary below.

Steps — Searching All Transactions (Order Summary)

1. Select the Transactions icon from the left-hand navigation menu.

2. Select the Order Summary tab at the top of the data table.

3. Select the Filter icon to open the filter panel and Search.

4. Enter your search criteria:

Filter FieldDescription
Date RangeFilter by submission or order date.
GL Acct CodeSearch by the account code charged to the transaction.
Supplier NameSearch by vendor or supplier.
StatusFilter by current status (e.g., Pending Approval, Sent to Supplier).
RequesterSearch for transactions submitted by a specific person.
ApproverSearch for transactions approved or pending approval by a specific person.

5. Select Apply to filter the results.

6. Select any row in the results to open the transaction detail view.

7. To export results, select the Export icon and select your preferred format.

CAUTION Watch out for: Order Summary shows all transactions you are authorized to view — not just your own. If you see more results than expected, you may have additional visibility.
NOTE ✓ You're done when: You have located the transaction and can view its status, line items, account codes, and approval history.
