How can I modify event notifications?

  • Can I opt out of these event notification emails?
  • I have my commodity codes set up so why am I still receiving bids that are not related to my business?

 General Notifications

If you feel you are receiving too many bid invitations, you are able to modify your email notifications.

Users can modify Sourcing Event Email Notifications under the Supplier Profile as shown:

(Click the Profile tab > Select Function dropdown menu > Email Notifications)

The user can also update the General Event Notifications, which are defaulted to “Notify users when a participated event is awarded”. Select update to save changes.

Notifications based on Customer

Users may also choose to update the email settings to “Notify users of open invitation events from assigned customers” based on their desired participation. If the customer-based notifications are selected, suppliers must create a customer list to control the notifications.

From here, the user can select/ deselect customers you wish to receive bids from based on locations. Search for the desired customers and select the Assigned checkbox. Select update to save all changes.

Notifications based on NIGP Codes

Users may also choose to update the email settings to “Notify users of open invitation events for all assigned NIGP codes". If NIGP Codes notifications is selected, users will receive invitations based only on the codes selected.

Select Company Information from the drop-down menu under the Profile tab:

(Profile > Select Function > Commodities > search by code or keyword)

  • Click here for more information on how to modify NIGP codes.

Notifications based on Location

Users may also choose to update the email settings to “Notify users of open invitation events from assigned locations” based on desired participation. If the location-based notifications are selected, the Business Area selected during registration controls the notifications.

Select Company Information from the drop-down menu under the Profile tab:

(Profile > Select Function > Company Information > Business Area > Specific States)

All of the above will help narrow down the notifications you’d like to see.

Please note that Customers/Bid Owners have the ability to associate one or more NIGP (National Institute of Government Purchasing) codes with an event.
