Overview
The purpose of this article is to outline the steps required to enable ESM Cards within your Ellucian instance for both ESM Production and Training environments.
Locating Unique Identifier
To begin the enablement process you first need to locate your unique tenant ID within your Ethos portal https://integrate.elluciancloud.com/
Once logged in the navigate to the required tenant for enablement, either Test or Production and on the Home page you will see the ID in the top right hand corner of the screen:
Ethos Tenant ID
By clicking the copy icon at the end of the ID, the full ID will be added to your clipboard for easy pasting into other programs.
Note: the ID is not confidential data and it is safe to communicate to ESM and Ellucian staff as needed.
Contact ESM Support
For this process to begin you firstly need to to contact the ESM Support team at support@esmsolutions.com or via the website ESM Solutions
A member of the team will then take the required steps to allow your ESM instance to provide Experience Cards, this needs to be set for Test and Production environments individually so please specify in your support request which environment(s) need enablement and provide the ID located in the previous step.
Enabling Experience Cards
Log into Ellucian Experience as an administrator, from the 'hamburger' menu select Configuration and search for 'Purchase'

The edit card screen will then load, from here select the categories that you want to display in the card within the Details section. From here you can also update the title, icon and set the default card location:

ESM Endpoint - from here select to which ESM environment that you want to connect to. Standard practice would dictate that Experience Production would connect to ESM Production and Experience Testing to ESM Training.
In exceptional instances such as debugging there may be a need to switch a target environment. This would require reauthentication of each ID and completing this process from the start of this article again.
Card Footer Branding - from the dropdown menu select to use either ESM logo, Ellucian logo, no branding or a custom image from URL:

Purchase Card Button - use the dropdown menu to use either ESM branding, Ellucian branding, custom text or a custom image:

Roles
The final section to configure is Roles where you define which user roles will be able to view the Experience Cards, for example Employee or All users.
Click Finish to complete the setup process.
