User Settings
System Administrators can grant users access to Requirements Bid in Add/Edit User screen.
ESM Source > Admin > General Settings > Add/Edit User
These 3 settings determine which requirement-related functions are available to the user if the Requirements Bid functionality is enabled.
- Solicit Requirements: Allows user to select Requirements Event checkbox within the event header. When selected, the event can be published to internal users to create requests for line item bid sections.
- Request Tab: Allows users to see Request tab once they log in to ESM and navigate to Source application. The Request tab allows users to create and manage requests for a requirement bid event.
- Manage Requirements: Allows users to view approved, submitted requests and combine the included requirements to update the event with approved line item quantities so the event can be published to suppliers for responses.
Event Template Configuration
System Administrators can configure Requirements Bid functions in templates in Add/Edit Template screen.
Requirement Event
- Hide: Allows users to hide Requirement Event field from event headers.
- Required: Allows users to mark Requirement Event field as a required field in event headers.
Requirements Due By Date
- Hide: Allows users to hide Requirements Due By Date field from event headers.
- Required: Allows users to mark Requirements Due By Date field as a required field in event headers.

Requirements Bid Distribution List
System Administrator can pre-define distribution list(s) for requirements bid so that your end users can easily find users to invite when soliciting requirements bid.
Navigate to ESM Source > Admin > General Settings > Requirement Distribution List screen.

Type in keywords in the Search box to start.

If there is no search result, the following pop-up will display and System Administrator can create a new requirements distribution list.

System Administrator can use the following criteria to find users and assign them to the distribution list. Click Search button to start the searching.

From the search results, System Administrator can multi-select users to assign them to the distribution list. Click Update button to save the selection.

If the entity is linked to other entities, System Administrator can also add the users from the linked entities to the distribution list. Please contact ESM to set up linked entities if needed.

To remove users from a requirements distribution list, check the checkbox in front of users in the Assigned Users section and then click on Update button.
