ESM Purchase

Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Enhancement

In this release, we enhanced the user experience for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) handling for Banner Ethos customers. The newly added NSF alert message is designed to provide better checkout experience to your shoppers.

  1. Timely Intervention: The enhanced NSF notification message allows the shoppers to stay informed about insufficient funds situations so that they can take actions promptly. 
  2. Reduced Financial Stress: Eliminate the stress associated with uncertainty about the account balance. The new NSF notification offers peace of mind by keeping your shoppers informed at the checkout stage.

Updated Default Sorting on the Order Summary Page

In response to user feedback and to improve the overall user experience, we have modified the default sorting for search results on the Order Summary page. Now, the research results on the Order Summary page is sorted by order Create Date in Descending order by default. This change aims to make it easier for users to find their most recent and relevant orders quickly and efficiently.

  1. Increased Productivity: With the default sorting set to display the latest orders first, users can quickly identify and address the most recent transactions, saving valuable time and effort.

Receive Tab: Display All Open Orders by Default

Starting with this release, all open orders will now be displayed by default when users navigate to the Receive tab. This enhancement aims to streamlining your receiving process and enhancing the user experience for your receivers. 

Key Benefits & Features: 

  1. Prevent Order Oversight: With the default display of all open orders, the risk of missing or overlooking any order is reduced, leading to a more streamlined receiving process. 
  2. Time-Saving Navigation: No more changing filters when receivers try to locate older orders. This update simplifies the navigation process, saving valuable time for receivers.

Banner Ethos Integration: Enhanced Handling for Banner Purchase Order (PO) Status

(This feature will be deployed to Training in the week of November 20, 2023)

With this release, we expanded the list of supported Banner Purchase Order (PO) status for Banner Ethos integration. This enhancement brings you a more streamlined procurement processes for Banner users.

The following Banner PO statuses are now handled properly in ESM Purchase & Banner Ethos Integration. 

  • notApproved
  • outstanding
  • voided
  • closed
  • inProgress
  • accepted 
  • backordered
  • invoiced
  • paid
  • reconciled

Key Benefits & Features:

  1. Enhanced Change Order Processing: The integration now supports a broader range of Banner Purchase Order statuses. This ensures that the system accommodates the diverse needs of your procurement process, such as creating a change order when a PO is invoiced. 
  2. Efficiency Boost: With extended flexibility of change order creation for POs, your procurement team easily make changes to the created POs, making your procurement processes more streamline. 

Bug

The following bug is now fixed with this release:

  • Unable to upload file L2 catalogue file with effective date greater than tomorrow.

 

ESM Source

Display & Configure the Supplier Note Column in ESM Source

When suppliers are responding to bids (with line-item bid section) in the Supplier Portal, they can enter their notes and comments on the system default Supplier Note column of the line-item table. With this release, this column is now visible and configurable to the procurement teams in the ESM Source application. 

Key Benefits & Features:

  1. Streamlined Communication: With the visibility of the Supplier Note column, buyers and ESM Source administrators are now aware of this system default column. This eliminates the necessity for additional custom columns, reducing redundancy and streamlining the bid data collection process.
  2. Increased Configuration Flexibility: Like all other line-item bid table columns, buyers and ESM Source administrators can now configure the Included Status, Required Status, and the Column Order for the Supplier Note. This leads to better utilization of built-in features and a more cohesive user experience.

Enhanced Bid Response Submission Process

(This feature will be deployed to Training in the week of November 20, 2023)

A loading bar is now added during the bid submission process to ensure a transparent experience for suppliers as their responses are being processed. We believe that this addition will significantly enhance the overall user experience, addressing supplier concerns and making the submission process more engaging and transparent. 

Key Benefits & Features:

  1. Enhanced User Confidence: With the new loading bar, suppliers will now have a visual indicator of the submission process, boosting their confidence that their responses are being processed successfully and efficiently.
  2. Improved Feedback Mechanism: The loading bar serves as an instant feedback mechanism, allowing suppliers to stay informed as it processes their submission. This feature is particularly valuable for larger submissions, keeping users informed and engaged throughout the process.
  3. Prevention of Incomplete Submissions: The loading bar mitigates the risk of incomplete submissions by ensuring users are aware of the processing status. This proactive approach helps users avoid premature exits or disruptions during submission, resulting in more reliable data processing.

Bug

The following bugs are fixed with this release:

  • Rich text editor drop-down menus are not clickable.
  • Supplier registered with the public registration link do not show up in the walk-in response.
  • Update button remained disabled when the user changed column order on the Set Column Order pop-up window in the ESM Source Admin > Event Library.
